This will not go the way you'd expect

At first, I thought I was going to read about something terrible a coworker had done to harm her teammates, but it turned out to be much less harmful than I expected, and it ended up revealing more about the teammate who wants revenge than about the lying coworker. To me, in normal customer service jobs where you are not saving the planet or curing a very serious illness, it's common knowledge that nobody really really wants to be there. One should always try to give the best service one can provide, of course, out of sheer humanity; but that's it. In my worldview, your teammates understand when you just need to rest or take an extra day, and everybody plays along with the 'sickness' performance because you are not truly harming anyone; in any case, the employee who's switching his day off with you will have their day off another day.

  • We seriously need to take into consideration that any of these employees she asked to cover for her could’ve just said no, lol. Even though she could’ve really been sick, there isn’t someone available for us every time, it’s normal, people have their own lives, and they don’t have to explain them to us to deny something, so I truly don’t get the need to get back at her, if you or any of the other employees don’t want to cover for her, you can just say no!!!. I truly think this employee is so sensitive about this topic because he wishes he could be as mischievous as her but doesn’t allow himself that possibility, lol. I mean, who doesn’t want to skip work?
